We are thrilled to announce that the Windsurfing Wave Tour is making its triumphant return to the legendary Praia do Guincho! This iconic beach, renowned for its powerful Atlantic swells and consistent winds, was the stage for Portugal’s inaugural international windsurfing event back in the mid-1980s, featuring the legendary Robby Naish.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Serra de Sintra, Guincho has long been a favorite among wave riders for its raw natural beauty and challenging conditions. Now, decades later, the world’s elite windsurfers are returning to this hallowed spot to compete once more, honoring its rich legacy and embracing its untamed spirit.
Stay tuned for more details on event dates and athlete lineups as we prepare to celebrate Guincho’s enduring place in windsurfing history.
